2024 National Festival

REGIONAL DANCE AMERICA COMES TOGETHER

for the fifth ever RDA National Festival, taking place in Daytona Beach, Florida April 24 – 27, 2024!

Dispersed between years of Region Festivals, RDA National Festivals traverse the country to fulfill dancers’ passion and audiences’ appreciation for the art of dance throughout the United States. For the fifth time in the nearly 70-year history of Regional Dance America, dancers, choreographers, directors, chaperones, dance educators, and musicians from around the U.S. will learn, connect, and grow at this monumental event. The inspiring environment of the RDA National Festival will feature master classes by world renowned instructors in a wide array of dance genres, high caliber dance performances, scholarship and recruitment offerings, and seminars for dancers, directors, board members, guild members, and costumers.

History of RDA National Festivals

The RDA Regions joined together for the first ever National Festival in Houston, Texas in 1997. 100 companies, 1,500 dancers, and 500 artistic directors, teachers, chaperones, and board members attended. Glenda Brown, artistic director of Allegro Ballet, served as Festival Host with the support of the National Board and member companies from across the country. The success of the first National Festival inspired subsequent National Festivals in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2007, Montréal, Québec, Canada in 2012, Phoenix, Arizona in 2017, and now Daytona Beach, Florida in 2024.

The National Festival kicks off with a Dancer Party and VIP Reception.

 

Festival Days
April 24 – 27, 2024
National Festival classes, performances, and seminars fill the Ocean Center, Peabody Auditorium, and Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort.

 

Departure Day
April 28, 2024
Participants return home with insightful training, inspirational performances, and connection to the nation-wide dance community.
