Regional Dance America, RDA, is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit organization of pre-professional dance companies. We provide performance and educational opportunities for pre-professional dancers and audiences throughout all American communities, rural and urban, small town and suburb. We bring together our Member Companies in diverse geographic regions for on-site and virtual events, master classes, workshops, and high-caliber performances. We provide access to diverse dance forms and performance and scholarship opportunities for thousands of dancers annually.

Our Membership Structure

Regional Dance America (RDA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings a unifying voice for our regional member companies throughout the United States.

 

Our memberships are grouped into five Regions – MidStates, Northeast, Pacific, Southeast, and Southwest. To join RDA, individual nonprofit dance companies, ensembles, groups, troupes, or guilds evaluate for membership in the RDA Region that represents their geographic location.

MidStates: Colorado, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Northeast: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, D.C.

Pacific: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, and Utah.

Southeast: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and the territory of Puerto Rico.

Southwest: Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Dispersed between years of Region Festivals, RDA National Festivals traverse the country to fulfill dancers’ passion and audiences’ appreciation for the art of dance throughout the United States.
