Regional Dance America, RDA, is a national nonprofit organization of pre-professional dance companies. We bring together our Member Companies in diverse geographic regions for on-site and virtual events, master classes, workshops, and high-caliber performances.

Highlights of the upcoming 2021 season for RDA Member Companies include:

    • RDA’s signature Scholarship and Recruitment Process for dancers and choreographers,
    • Adjudication Tours to provide helpful feedback for companies from world class professionals,
    • RDA Regional Festivals filled with master classes, seminars, networking events, roundtables, and performances, and

Our Membership Structure

Regional Dance America (RDA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings a unifying voice for our regional member companies throughout the United States.


Our memberships are grouped into five Regions – MidStates, Northeast, Pacific, Southeast, and Southwest. To join RDA, individual nonprofit dance companies, ensembles, groups, troupes, or guilds evaluate for membership in the RDA Region that represents their geographic location.

MidStates: Colorado, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Northeast: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, D.C.

Pacific*: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, and Utah.

Southeast: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and the territory of Puerto Rico.

Southwest: Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

*Until the Pacific Region holds a Festival, companies from the Pacific Region may participate in Festivals of any other Region.
